To reclaim our agricultural heritage, to nurture a community where food sovereignty is paramount, and to source the majority of life-sustaining resources from within our own network.

Our story began with a deep-rooted passion for the land and a desire to honor the legacy of African American farmers who have historically shaped the agricultural landscape. Founded by Minnesota born and raised couple, Dejen and Zedé, Rooted Harmony Homestead represents a labor of love—a dedication to preserving traditions while embracing innovation.

But Rooted Harmony Homestead is more than just an agricultural business. We are educators, advocates, and storytellers. Through workshops, community events, and partnerships, we strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to cultivate their own sustenance and to foster a deeper appreciation for the journey from seed to table.
