Embracing Change: The Evolution of Grand Risings Farm into Rooted Harmony Homestead

Dear Rooted Harmony Community,

We're excited to share with you a milestone in our journey—a rebranding from Grand Risings Farm to Rooted Harmony Homestead. This change represents not just a new name, but a renewed commitment to our core values of sustainable agriculture and community-centered approach.

The decision to rebrand came from a deep reflection on our identity as farmers, parents, and stewards of the land. With one founder hailing from Tigray, Ethiopia, and the other rooted in generations of Minnesotan farming heritage, our connection to the land runs deep. Yet, as we navigated the challenges of running a farm business while raising a family, we realized the need to align our business framework with our evolving priorities.

Affordability and the well-being of our children compelled us to make necessary adjustments, but, our love for the art of growing and nourishing ourselves and our community remains steadfast. While this rebranding may bring changes to our business structure, our commitment to sustainable agriculture and community engagement remains unwavering.

One of the adjustments we've made is the decision not to offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares this year. While CSAs have been a cornerstone of our business in the past, we recognize the limitations of our acreage and the need to operate within our capacity. Instead, we'll be focusing on participating in farmers markets and hosting workshops and events at our space.

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has supported us on this journey thus far. Your enthusiasm and encouragement mean the world to us. Despite the changes, we're excited about the opportunities this season holds and the chance to connect with each of you in new and meaningful ways.

With tender love, Zedé and Dejen
